Common bamboo in coastal forest of sandy soil. In many
places associated with two other bamboos (C.E.C. & R.S.P.
2265 and 2266). Plants about 10-15 m high* climbing over
vegetation. Culms solid, 1.25 cm or less in diameter, sur-
face rough. Culm sheaths more or less persistant with long
triangular, erect, deciduous blade. Culm leaf surface a
little rough. Many branches per node; one main, thicker
branch and several thin ones.
