Forest on terra firme, undulating terrain. Canopy open, Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to regenerate after die-back ca. 16 years ago.

Description
Tree. Tree 11 m, monocarps pendent, red. Trunk slightly angular, outer bark with many small raised lenticels, sparsely pitted, with some hoop marks, thin, inner bark orange, fibrous. N.V. envira preta. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
