Abundant throughout the forest, forming dense clumps. CJJjiibing
bamboo up to 15 m tall. Culms 1.5 cm in diameter, filled w&tl*
soft pith; in small branches hollow. Culms green, mottled,
purple, asperous, with retrorse hairs. Culm sheath ve#y long,
narrow, triangular with small, triangular, deciduous blade.
