Description
Description (from Fisher, T. R., 1988): Stems glabrous below, pilose in inflorescence and on peduncles, usually with tufts of basal or rosette leaves due to rhizomatous spreading; leaves rather large, usually with rectangular sinuses, margins usually sharply dentate-serrate, with mucronate teeth, middle and upper leaves becoming reduced and more narrow, often nearly sessile above; inflorescence corymbiform; phyllaries few, usually glabrous on back, lax and spreading, the inner longer, linear with inconspicuous greenish tips, blunt; ray flowers white.
