Description
Diagnosis: Gasterocarp globose to subglobose, dry, white at first, soon staining blue, with basal rhizomorph. Gleba whitish at first, then brown, with columella soon staining blue. Spores brown, broadly ellipsoid, with (6-)8-10 longitudinal ridges.

Commentary: Distinguished by the oxidation reaction and spore morphology. Molecular inference suggests alliance with leccinoid boletes and basal to a western Pacific genus, Rossbeevera (Lebel et al. 2012).
