    status of name: 21 March 2006, Dr. Roy Halling says to leave Neolentus lepideus as a valid species, do not reduce to synonymy with Neolentus suffrutescens as at CBS, and again endorsed by Redhead 09 Dec. 2009, so we are using this as the current name.
