Pleospora pygmaea (Ellis & Everh.) M.E.Barr
Note: In Barr, 1990, Memoirs of the New York Botanical Garden 62: 8, the author writes: "A note by Ellis on the holotype packet of Teichospora kansensis states 'Probably same as Teichospora pygmea E. & E.' and this collection cannot be separated from Pleospora pygmea." This follows a description for the taxon where the two Teichospora are synonymized with Pleospora pygmaea. Other than that first publication of the name is apparently in Dr. J.F. Brenckle's Fungi Dakotenses, Fascicle 27, issued October, 1929, where Pleospora pygmea E. & E. is number 669. Ellis's name was therefore nomen nudum.Teichospora pygmaea Ellis & Everh. det J. B. Ellis
