Note: Examined and determined as holotype by Dr. K.P. Dumont, 16 Feb 1982. . . . "Annot. by G.J.M. Verkley (CBS Baarn, Apr 1999): HOLOTYPE of D. fraxini; "The holo- and isotype from NY only contain overaged apothecia with very few 1-5 septate subhyaline to brown ascospores. . . . No anamorph was observed. It is a member of the genus Pezicula, but I am unable to identify this material to species level." -
