    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to 16.5 km (average of 3 km and 30 km) along the sequence of roads connecting the city of Camacan to the town of Canavieiras (correct spelling), BA 251 then BA 270, in Mun. Camacan, Bahia. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the city of Camacan and the roads just mentioned. Beginning at the point along BA 251 closest to the approximate geographic center of the city of Camacan (-15.415260, -39.485630), used Google Maps - Measure Distance tool to measure ca. 3.67 km along BA 251, then ca. 12.83 km along BA 270, for a total distance of approximately 16.5 km (16.5000 km) towards Canavieira. Using Google Maps - What's Here tool, found coordinates (final) for the offset. Using Measure Distance tool again, found the linear extent of the starting location of the offset, the city of Camacan, by measuring from the selected starting coordinates along BA 251 to the farthest extent of the city (-16.396633, -39.580260). Input linear extent (1.82325 km) km), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees), datum (WGS 84), distance precision (1 km), and measurement error (0.00025 km) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Offset: Offset along a path). Note: an additional 13,500 m was added to the uncertainty output from the MaNIS calculator to account for the 13.5 km difference between the distance ranges provided on the label and the average distance used for measuring the offset.
