Brazil. Goiás. Niquelândia Mun. Macedo, ca. 15 km N of Niquelândia; S. facing hill slope, stable peridotite/dunite-based scree & flat area below, ca. 500-800 m east of nickel workings. Flat grassy area 400 m SE of hillslope.

Description
Rush-like, tussocks to 60 cm. Leaves linear, flowers yellow, 6 mm long; pendulous fruit, spherical, 3 mm. Inflorescence blackening at maturity. 6 spreading petals, strongly veined. Center darker yellow. Slight red-brown markings at fusion. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
