collected on a low gneiss ridge covered with virgin
mesophytic forest with 'Open canopy of 12 meter tall
trees, trunks to 8 dm d.b.h.; few tall shrubs, dense
3-4 dm tall herb layer; soil with humus, ground
shaded.
