Habitat
Growing in a group forming an impenetrable thicket. In thicket of cerrado vegetation at the edge of the airstrip. R.A. de Castro says this is the first time he has seen this species outside Pará.

Description
Spiny, multi-stemmed shrub to 2.5 m. tall. Perianth green, stamens dirty yellow. All plants in group seem to be male. Bark smooth. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
