Steep sandstone cliffs and open rocky hillsides, sloping down through sandy, grassy meadow to stream and adjacent brejo and gallery forest.

Description
Shrubby stems from crack in blocky sandstone, ca. 1 m high, the stems 1.5 cm in diameter; flower buds with white calyx glands; fruits up to 2 cm in diameter. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
