    Brazil. Maranhão. Lorêto Mun. "Ilha das Balsas" region, between the Rio das Balsas and Parnaíba. About 40 Km south of Lorêto. At place called "Picada", about 100 m south of creek, "Riacho da Picada".

    in ravine of small tributary brook, "Vão de Estrebaria", cut into base of gentle slope side of low plateau where it joins creek plain. No water in the brook at present. On shaded bank-lined with thin low-tree gallery forest. [See label for further habitat description].
