United States of America. Utah. Iron Co. 0.5 mile south, 4.9 miles east of Paragonah. (Take Center Street east out of Paragonah several miles to boundary of Dixie National Forest, then 1.3 miles east on FR 078, then 0.15 mile north on 2-track to site.) Dixie National Forest: Red Creek Canyon.

Habitat
Densely scrubby pinyon-juniper woodland on moderate W- and S- facing slopes. Cercocarpus ledifolius, C. montanus, Peraphyllum, Quercus gambelii, grasses and forbs in understorey. Abundant. Rocky soil on west-facing side; light ashy-gray, sandy soil on south-facing side.

Description
Dense shrub to 2 m high. Petals white or with a pink blush. Flowers fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
