Habitat
Growing along roadside in open cerrado area in asscoiation with Astrocaryum campestre, erythroxylum sp., and grasses.

Description
Palm, acaulescent, ca. 2 m. tall, leaves arching, pinnate, ca. 106 pinnae per side. Pinnae evenly distributed along the rachis but towards the base some are grouped in 2's and 3's and at various angles to the plane of the leaf. [See label for further plant description.].
