United States of America. Nevada. Clark Co. NW of Laughlin near Christmas Tree Pass road in the Newberry Mountains, ca. 2.55 km. WSW of the summit (5639) of Spirit Mountain.

Habitat
Among rhyolitic roack on N-facing slope. With Ericameria, Quercus and various grasses.

Description
shrub, ca. 2 m. tall. Plants, dioecious shrubs, cas. 2 m. tall with more or less fibrous bark; branchlets terete, 1.5 to 2 mm. in diam.; leaves with evident imbedded (not ruptured) glandl leaf margins denticulate; seed cones with a woody pericarp, ca. 10 mm. in diam., mostly 1-seeded, dark green with a heavy, light blue bloom. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
