    Populus tremuloides woodland bisected by road, surrounded by open slopes of Artemisia tridentata/ Purshia tridentata scrub. With Symphoricarpos rotundifolius, Linanthus pungens. Abundant in scrub. Ashy pumice alluvium above contact of granitic and basaltic bedrock.
