Tree. Mid-sized tree; bark hard, dark gray (like Q. laurifolia); leaves dark green, glossy above, pale green below; cups (found on ground) flat. Quercus falcata x Q. phellos, confirmed as to parentage y David M. Hunt, 29 Oct 1990. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
