Habitat
Rocky, windswept rabbitbrush-grassland on steep, primarily N-facing slope. Sevy dolomite surfacing. Scattered pinyon and juniper. Common at low elevation on east-facing slope.

Shrub to 2 m high. Petals light yellow. Flowers fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
