On east-facing slope. With Symphoricarpos, Populus & Pseudocymopterus. In loam soil with scattered volcanic gravel.

Description
Perennials from slender, tan-brown rhizomes with scattered tuberous thickenings; herbage glandular, especially in the inflorescence; leaves estipulate; sepals ca. 5 mm long; petals white, to 9 mm long, with an apical notch to 3 mm deep; stamens 10, the anthers usually olive-brown; styles 3, to 4 mm long. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
