Plate 5, figure 47 Colonies spherical, quite firm, 25-50 p diam.; cells spherical to somewhat irregular, bright bluish green, homogeneous, 2.8 3.4 m diam., closely associated, leaving a distinct margin ot tegu- ment on the surface; resting spores with thin, hyaline, smoo i walls; tegument homogeneous throughout the colony, hyaline, smooth. Growing in association with other species of Myxophyceae. Very widely distributed. The following are a few of the locali- ties noted: on a wooden fence near Santurce, no. 2 c, type , on a wall, Hotel Nava, Santurce, no. 56 j; Coamo Springs, nos. 300 a and 1901 c; on tree trunks, Fajardo,.wo. 656; on a church wal, Sabana Grande, no. 961 d] on a garden wall, Hotel Paris, Maya- giiez, no. 981 b; on a tree trunk along the road near Monte Mon- toro, Maricao, no. 1062; on soil, Hacienda Holm, Mayagiiez, no. 1176 b.
