Plate 5, figure 47 Colonies spherical, quite firm, 25-50 p diam.; cells spherical to somewhat irregular, bright bluish green, homogeneous, 2.8 3.4 m diam., closely associated, leaving a distinct margin ot tegu- ment on the surface; resting spores with thin, hyaline, smoo i walls; tegument homogeneous throughout the colony, hyaline, smooth. Growing in association with other species of Myxophyceae. Very widely distributed.
