N of Una. Elev. 50 m. Dominant in this part of ”mata
litoraneaM of sandy soil. Near the edge of forest mixed with
another sp. of Atractantha (CEC et al. 2389) and a Mero-
stachys. Forming rather small clumps, culms decumbent or
curved at lover part, then bending or climbing over vege-
tation and hanging, up to 13 m. high or more. Internodes
rather short, especially at base; b6-6j cm. Culms solid,
up to 1 cm diam., surface green, asperous. Culm leaves
persistent at base of plant, late—deciduous elsewhere;
sheath smooth with callus developed at back and a ring of
stiff, golden hairs at base in node; blade reflexed.
