Forming rather small clumps, culms decumbent or curved at lover part, then bending or climbing over vege- tation and hanging, up to 13 m. high or more. Internodes rather short, especially at base; b6-6j cm. Culms solid, up to 1 cm diam., surface green, asperous. Culm leaves persistent at base of plant, late—deciduous elsewhere; sheath smooth with callus developed at back and a ring of stiff, golden hairs at base in node; blade reflexed. 27 April.1976 Cleóré E, Calderón, Talmón S.
