Habitat

According to protologue, "on decaying wood of various deciduous trees . . ."; C.L. Smith quoted in protologue: "Mr. Ellis had received specimens of this species from different localities before he received my Nicaraguan specimen".
Description

Host specimen and original Ellis packet. Study notes with drawing of ascospore by Y. Abe (Jan 1987). Protologue of H. papillatum (= H. Teres B.& C.) attached to packet mounting sheet. Notes by Stadler 2005 also on sheet.
