    Protologue on packet mounting sheet. Annot. by D.R. Reynolds (27 Jan 2000): "This specimen is mislabeled as a Capnodium species in all collections. Theissen (Annales Mycologici 15: 277. 1917) annotated C. lygodesmiae as a misdetermination species and made the recombination as Erysiphe lygodesmiae (Ellis & Everh.) Theissen.".
