Ellis study notes: "Stipitate, about 1 mm high and 1-1½ mm broad when fully expanded, smoky-white, subturbinate at first -- pruinose, substriate (sulcate-stricete above) with appressed dark coloned fibres. Margin incurved and white, pruinose, sublacerate, tardily expanding. Disk pale, white, urceolate becoming concave. Asci sub-cylindrical; 20-50 x 4-5, paraphyses rather stout simple, straight, about as long as the asci, not perceptibly thickened above. Sporidia obliquely 1-seriate, or sub-biseriate, fusoid-oblong, hyaline, 7-8 x 1½ µ. Stipe rather slender than in Rehm's specc. -- that is all.".
