  • Habitat

    Bosque mesofilo de montaña. Forested gentle slopes and sinkholes of Cerro Grande, a massive limestone (Cenomanian, Upper Cretaceous) plateau with typical karst topography. With Quercus laurina, Meliosma dentata, Oreopanax xalapense, Styrax argenteus and an understory of Euphorbia schlechtendalii.

    Ranging from small herbaceous, multistemmed shrubs to 2.1 m tall single-stemmed, slender shrubs. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
