Location
Costa Rica. Guanacaste. On the eastern slopes of Volcán Miravalles (Cerro la Giganta), above the town of Río Naranjo near the Continental Divide.

Habitat
Along trail in forest and edges of pasture. Evergreen cloud forest with trees about 20 m. tall and a distinct understory of dense shrubs 1-2 m. tall.

Description
Small tree 2-3.5 m. tall, corollas white, the limb spreading, the hairs reddish on upper side of petiole, grayish-white to reddish on branches. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
