    S-facing 15° slope of soft pumice soil with occasional white rhyolite outcrops. Exposed windswept plateau. With Pinus flexilis, P. albicaulis, Cercocarpus ledifolius, Chrysothamnus parryi, Ribes cereum, Eriogonum umbellatum, Achnatherum occidentalis, Calyptridium umbellatum, Ericameria suffruticosa, Raillardella argentea. Common, scattered across plateau.
