Habitat
Disturbed subtropical semi-deciduous forest and brushy or open areas along the very shallow, intermittent "river", soil sandy. Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Crotalaria anagyroides, Solanum riparium.

Description
Small tree 4 m. tall, 15 cm. in diameter. Flowers sweetly fragrant; base of calyx lobes strongly swollen in fruit; corolla purple-violet. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
