Habitat
Eroded slopes, SE-facing. With Agropyron, Artemisia, Gutierrezia, Atriplex (above Sarcobatus), Stanleya. Pale gray-tan soft shaley clay.

Description
Limb white, 10 mm diam., tube pale reddish-green (at 11 AM, cool, misty, flowers till open and with a faint spicy vanilla scent); plants in patches, extensive subterranean runners, with occasional interconnections, most with a stout taproot. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
