    Elfin cloud forest. Ridge- top cloud fores; Low canopy (4-6 m); heavy rainfall ( 400+ in /yr) vegetation dominated by small trees and shrubs (Pandanus patina, Glochidion, Garcinia) covered in epiphytic ferns and mosses; very shallow soil.
