Description
Tree, 45 m, 30 m to the first limb. Bark light gray, sheds in flakes when old. Sapwood white, heartwood red. Calyx yellow, petals rose at the tips and edges, cream-colored at base, ligula red, sterile stamens yellow. Red and rose-colored parts of the flower are dotted with yellow. Fls. ca. 4 cm in diam. Appears to have one loculus with 3 seeds. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
