Habitat
Atoll littoral forest. Tropical atoll consisting of 46 small islands surrounding a 5 mile wide lagoon. Most islands uninhabited but all planted with coconut. Typical Pacific beach strand/littoral forest vegetation mixed with agroforest (coconut, breadfruit).

Description
Grass to 40 cm; Common along trails and in old, open understory coconut plantations on main island; not abundant in understory in forested areas.
