Habitat
The upper part of the walk through well developed Baccharis woodlands, at midslope is a dense Weinmannia, Clusia, Miconia forest, laden with epiphytes, slopes along the river predominated by Alnus. Scattered.

Small riverside tree, 5 m high. Flowers white tinted with a brown-purple. Flowers retuse. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile.
