Habitat
Relatively undisturbed, fairly rich 1° cloud forest, growing on very steep slopes. Some weedy species are also present along the aqueduct. Abundance unknown. Growing in accumulated soil on top of a boulder.

Shrub; ca. 2 meters tall. Infertile. Bark fibrous.
