Habitat
Low, open canopy ridge top cloud forest. Low canopy (4-6 m), heavy rainfall (400+ in/yr). Vegetation dominated by small trees and shrubs (Pandanus patina, Glochidion, Garcinia) covered in epiphytic ferns and mosses, very shallow soil.

Description
Shrub to 3 m tall, Flowers on racemes, 1 cm across, white petals, base of gynecium reddish, leaves alternate with orange/brown petioles. Fruit 0.5 cm, white at maturity.
