Habitat
Steep hillsides of igneous boulders and talus. Yucca, Agave, thorny legumes, and cacti. Abundant.

Description
Subshrub, to 0.3 m. tall, woody at base. Rays mostly 8; both rays and disc orange-yellow. Leaves and stems somewhat succulent. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
