Subtropical semi-deciduous forest and road-
sides in gorge of Rio Pirai as it emerges from
the easternmost foothills of the Andes.
Sprout 3 m. tall on roadside, occasional be-
tween here and Santa Cruz along the highway,
where seen as a moderate tree to ca. 10 m.
tall, 25 cm. in diameter with broad rounded
crown. No flowers or fruit.
