Stem shrubby, erect, beset with long, white or yellowish downwardly pointed spines. Leaves large, green, deeply 5-7 lobed. Flowers small, yellowish-white. Berry blotched white and green, 8-10 cm. in diameter. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
