Elev 7800 feet. Substrate - metamorphic and granitics both
occur on summit ridge. Windswept ridgeline community with
Artemisia tridentata ssp. vaseyana/Festuca idahoensis
habitat type. Shallow soils. Associated with Sitanion
hystrix, Leptodactyon pungens, Achillea millefolium.
Plants common, in fruit.
