United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: "Wilfred Peak;" S end of the Glass Mountain Ridge, adjacent to and N of Wilfred Canyon (Watterson Canyon quad).

Habitat
windswept ridge-like peak of soft pumice gravvely soil, white rhyolotic outcrops, and occasional obsidian vent plugs. Ridgetop with Pinus flexilis, Cercocarpus ledifolius and small Holodiscus microphyllus. Dry E-facing slopes with Calyptridium umbellatum, Leptodactylon pungens, Chrysothamnus parryi, Ericameria suffruticosa. Common on ridgetop and lower slopes N.
