  • Description

    gregarious. Pileus 1-6 broad, plan-convex to plane, moist, subtomentose to matted subtomentose, white overall, but sometimes with pale brownish gray areas. Flesh white, unchanging, with strong farinaceous odor and taste. Lamellae decurrent, close, white at first, soon pink[ish] flesh colored. Stipe 2-4 cm long, 5-10 mm broad, equal to tapering downward, usually curved, dry to moist, white, appressed fibrillose, with interior solid, white, unchanging, with white basal mycelium. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
