Steep hillslope in disturbed lowland forest.

Description
Clustering palm; stems to 4m tall, ca. 2cm diam; internodes green, when young with scattered brown scales; crownshaft developed, green with scattered scales. Leaves 8 in the crown; petiole 25cm; rachis 45cm; leaflets 6-7 on each side, irregularly arranged and variable in width but not grouped. Inflorescence interfoliar at first, then infrafoliar; axes rusty-hairy; rachillae pendulous; some pistillate flowers opening before the final staminate flowers have finished. Flowers white. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
