Upland swamp forest in valley bottom.

Description
Slender palm, clustering, to 4m tall; stem ca. 15mm diam., internodes 8 cm; crownshaft green with chocolate-coloured scales. Leaves 8 in the crown, irregularly pinnate, with 3-5 rather broad or narrow pinnae on each side of the rachis. Inflorescence at first interfoliar, the infrafoliar; peduncle 35cm; prophyll persistent, brone above the base of the Inflorescence, enclosing the peduncular bract; inflorescence branching to 2 orders, with ca. 18 limp, pendulous rachillae. Stamens apparently 3. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
