Description
Slender palm, clustering, to 4m tall; stem ca. 15mm diam., internodes 8cm; crownshaft green with chocolate-coloured scales. Leaves 8 in the crown, ireegularly pinnate, with 2-4 very broad pinnae on each side of the rachis. Inflorescence at first interfoliar, then intrafoliar, peduncle 35cm; prophyll persistent, borne above the base of the bract; inflorescence branching to 2 orders, with ca. 18 limp, pendulous rachillae. Stamens apparently 3. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
