Primary forest, steep slope, growing in a large colony in the undergrowth.

Description
Clustering colonial palmlet. Stems to 50cm tall, decumbent, rooting at the ground and sprouting at the rooting point. Leaves ca. 8 in the crown, beautiful rich green, bifid throughout the population, veins hariy beneath. Inflorescence pendulous, very short, covered in rusty hairs. Flowers minute, white. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
