Geum rossii/Carex turf and windswept fellfield. Associated with Oxyria digyna, Potentilla fruticosa, Festuca ovina, Phlox pulvinata, Sedum lanceolatum, Smelowskia calycina and Agropyron scribneri. Abundant. Quartzite talus.

Substrate - quartzite talus. Elevation 11,200'-11,800'. Geum rossii/Carex turf and windswept fellfield. Associated with Oxyria digyna, Potentilla fruitcosa, Festuca ovina.
