United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: North edge of Long Valley; springfed meadow above 4WD ranch road, near base of slopes rising north.

Habitat
10° SSW-facing springfed meadow, appx. 40m across. Heavily grazed and (recently?) burnt meadow and surrounding scrub. Granitic and pumice soil. Dry bajada uplands densly infested iwth Bromus tectorum, with occasional recovering Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Prunus andersonii, Leymus cinereus, Hesperostipa comata, Mentzelia congesta. Meadow with Carex, Cirsium, Rosa woodsii, Smilacina stellata, Aquilegia, and Populus tremuloides just uphill. Occasional, drier edges of meadow.
